This Model A was imported from Australia, so is RHD and has the 3.3 litre engine. I am the first registered UK owner having owned it for nearly 9 years. It does have a few modifications to aid driveability, namely: - 12v electrics with alternator. - Model B head. - Downdraught carburettor. - Auto advance/ retard modern distributor. - A set of fuses for safety. - Indicators. - Modern temperature gauge. This could easily be removed, but I’ve found it useful. Since I've owned the car, I've made the following improvements: - Added a second drum rear tail light for safety. - Added a trunk. - Added an electrical cutoff switch. - Replaced the knackered exhaust with a stainless steel one. - Replaced both rear axle half shafts and the spider in the diff. - Replaced the brake shoe pads. - Regular oil changes/ greasing etc. - Replaced the fuel lines. - It does not ever get E10 fuel – I only run it on super unleaded. Please note - although the badge bar will be included in the sale, the badges will not be. I bought the car in 2016 from a dealer in the Forest of Dean, who specialised in importing vintage cars from Australia and New Zealand. I wanted it because it was Right Hand Drive with the larger engine. During the 9 years I've owned it, I've driven it to the West Country and back and taken part in several London to Brighton classic car runs, as well as using it for pottering about more locally and the odd show. I have not used it in competitions or trials. I've really enjoyed owning this car. It starts enthusiastically and runs very nicely. I'm selling because a change in my circumstances means I'm not able to enjoy it as I once did.
