FIAT CROMA CHT - £Auction
The Fiat Croma CHT model featured a 2.0-litre, 90bhp engine and Yamaha CHT (Controlled High Turbulence) engine, which allowed for variable geometry suction for greater regularity of operation at low speeds and lower urban fuel consumption. This 1988 example, one of just three believed left on UK roads, was used as a family car until taken off the road to be used as a hobby car for shows etc. It was kept garaged for restoration until completed in January 2020 and then MoT'd (albeit on SORN during the winter months). The subframe has been replaced and the engine received head-off work. More recent work has involved attention to the steering rack and an oil and filter change. The Fiat is running and driving, and comes with an extensive collection of spare parts. The Fiat was registered in June 1988 and has four registered keepers recorded on its V5C. Its MoT is valid until October 2025 and its odometer shows 122,980 miles. It comes with its current and past V5Cs plus an old V5, MoT certificates and invoices, a copy of Parliamo, the magazine of the Fiat Motor Club (GB) with a photo of the car at a 2024 Fiat & Friends meeting at the British Motor Museum, Gaydon, and the book pack, with two owner's handbooks, dealership directory, unleaded petrol information sheet, and service book with stamps up to 39,539 miles in December 1991.
