This lot will be auctioned via Iconic Auctioneers, The Iconic Sale at Supercar Fest 2025 on Saturday the 17th of May, Sywell Aerodrome, Sywell, Northampton, NN6 0BN. Revealed at the 2017 Geneva International Motor Show, the 812 Superfast arrived to much acclaim as Ferrari's two-seat, front-engined, rear-wheel drive flagship model and the installation of a 6.5-litre, 789bhp, V12 engine ensured that it more than lived up to its name. It was marketed by the Maranello marque as the 'fastest and most powerful Ferrari yet' and interest in the car was understandably huge. Four years later, Ferrari raised the stakes even higher with the unveiling of the 812 Competizione, hailed as the 'ultimate expression' of an extreme front-engined berlinetta. The car’s 'raison d'etre' was quite clear; to demonstrate just how much was possible when the development of a 'supercar' was forensically targeted on extracting the maximum performance from every component. At the heart of the car’s appeal was of course the V12 powerplant, which had been coaxed into producing a remarkable 819bhp, making it the most powerful naturally-aspirated engine to ever motivate a Ferrari road car. The rev limit was raised from 8,900rpm to 9,500rpm, aided by engineering solutions which included fitting lighter internals, new cylinder heads, low-friction coatings and revised oiling. Revised aerodynamic tweaks were applied all over the bodywork to help to keep the 812 Comp firmly planted and the company’s F1 wind-tunnel played a major part in designing the rear panel which became one of the Competizione's most distinctive features. The resulting numbers are naturally impressive, with 819bhp transferred to the road through the 7-speed dual-clutch and offering 0-100km/h in 2.85 seconds, 0-200km/h in 7.5 seconds and a claimed top speed of 340km/h (211mph). A Ferrari with such a magnificent pedigree was always going to be highly coveted by marque collectors, so it was no surprise that news of its launch in limited numbers in 2021 was immediately accompanied by confirmation that all 999 examples had already been sold. The fact that it has been an extremely rare sight at auctions since has only added to the 812 Competizione’s mystique. This particular one owner from new UK Ferrari 812 Competizione was ordered new through Stratstone Manchester and delivered in July 2022 to a discerning collector based in the Isle of Man where it has been professionally stored from new. It benefits from a full service history with Stratstone the most recent of which was in April 2025. Today, it has covered just 2,200 (very enjoyable!) miles from new and is now ready for its next owner to similarly enjoy it this Spring.
