1960 Fairthorpe Electron Minor Mk2, fully rebuilt chassis with all body panels, the bulkhead is a replacement one that was produced 30 years ago and not used so has no crazing and one of the floor pans is new, the rest of the body will require work to make it good again, new panels can be produced as the club holds the original body moulds. Original Triumph Spitfire front suspension, the upper wishbones are now mounted to Triumph Spitfire suspension turrets. Rear axle is Ford Escort on a 5 link system which will give better handling than the original set up, the Escort axle is a lot stonger than the original Standard 10 one and gives a much better range of axle ratios. The car comes with a 1200cc Ford 105E Anglia engine but no gearbox, many other parts are with the car including: hard top, pedal assembly, radiator, propshaft, remains of the wiring loom, instruments and original worn hinges etc. All mechanical parts will need to be checked/rebuilt, the body panels have just been positioned on the chassis for the pictures and would need bolting/screwing down by the new owner. The green VE.60 registration log book and chassis plate are with the car but there is no V5, this Fairthorpe has not been on the road since the 1970`s, before V5 type logbooks were issued, so a V5 will need applying for by the new owner, the Fairthorpe Sports Car Club can help with the application. I have owned the car for eleven years and originally intended to rebuild and use it as a fast road/trackday car but I now have another car I am using for that so time to sell it on to someone who will finish restoring it and enjoy this Fairthorpe.
