1969 Daimler 250V8. Automatic with factory fitted power steering. Absolutely superb, completely sorted and totally reliable. My beautiful Daimler needs nothing. I have owned many classics but this one is by far the best. I have never known a better driving or more reliable car, it starts first time every time, you could drive it across Europe tomorrow. When I bought the car in 2022, it had been dry stored and unused for many years. It went straight to Daimler specialist Robert Grinter for recommissioning. At my request he did far more than that. The engine was stripped and re-built. A complete, new fuel system was fitted, new petrol tank, fuel pump, fuel lines and carbs. A complete new brake system, all new brake lines and upgraded to 4 pot callipers, it stops like a modern car. Radiator renewed, it never ever overheats. The chassis is completely solid. Interior. All the Walnut has been re-veneered. The Blue leather seats are excellent, new carpet. All interior dash bulbs replaced with LED so they are brighter and run cold. Robert Grinter says “in all his years of working on these cars, this is one of the best he has driven”. History: The car has covered 91,000 miles from first registration in March 1969 and is supported by bills, paperwork and every MoT dating back to 1979. Only 4 owners from new before me (I have spoken to two of them). Whilst in the 20 years of one owner Mrs Amos, she only covered 7,000 miles in all that time but kept the car fastidiously maintained. The car has covered 22,000 miles since 1979. Jaguar Daimler Heritage certificate confirms matching numbers, colour and factory spec. Original toolkit. Immobiliser.
