CHEVROLET CORVETTE STINGRAY CONVERTIBLE - £Auction

  • 0

The Chevrolet Corvette has been produced in seven generations. The first model, a convertible, was designed by Harley Earl and introduced at the GM Motorama in 1953 as a concept show car. Originally built in Flint, Michigan and St. Louis, Missouri, the Corvette is currently manufactured in Bowling Green, Kentucky. The third generation Corvette, patterned after the Mako Shark II concept car, was introduced for the 1968 model year and was in production until 1982.

This wonderful example was manufactured in 1969 and was first registered in the UK on 26th April 1989. Since import it has had three former keepers and has been part of the current vendors private collection since 2020. Offered in the desirable colour combination of red coachwork over a black interior, this Corvette looks stunning and presents very well. Reported to run and drive very well indeed it sounds fantastic when on song. Offered with a sizeable history file including various maintenance and service invoices, old MoT records, and the current V5 registration document. This is a superb looking open top American classic which is ready to be enjoyed in the summer months! Interested parties should note that the private registration plate '69 VET' is to be retained by the vendor and a new, age-related registration issued instead. Consigned by Daniel Godin
