This lot will be auctioned via Iconic Auctioneers, The Iconic Motorcycle Sale at Shuttleworth - Spring 2025 on Sunday the 4th of May, Shuttleworth, Old Warden Park, Beds, SG18 9EP . With Cagiva’s acquisition of Ducati in 1985, they suddenly had access to a range of four-stroke, V-twin motorcycle engines of significantly larger capacities. It wasn’t long before they started to fit these engines to their large enduro frame, known as 'Elefant'. The Elefant, so named after the Elephant in the original Cagiva logo, attained international celebrity after Edi Orioli won the 1990 Dakar Rally riding one. He repeated the feat in 1994, further cementing the Elefant’s reputation as a tough and durable enduro machine Supplied new by TW Motorcycles in Kidlington on 19/04/1995.
