This Spitfire from 1966 is a USA specification model that retains its original engine, full width ‘finned’ front brake and alloy Borrani rims both front and rear. Imported to the UK from Denmark in 2015 and re registered it has had just two keepers since. Showing 6,756 miles in 2015 new clocks were fitted in 2016, now showing just 386 miles. It received a major service in 2020 with new twin carbs, the original fibreglass fuel tank has also been lined and ethanol resistant fuel taps fitted. Built from ’66 to ’68 the first generation of the BSA Spitfire was designated as a MKII and was more or less the top of the range A65 model at that time with 10.5:1 pistons two large-bore Amal carbs and 12volt electronics it was the most powerful standard model BSA had ever built with a 123mph top speed. This is fine example that appears to be largely original, in good running order it is supplied with UK documents and a small history file with maintenance invoices.
