BSA A10 GOLD FLASH (PLUNGER) - £2,000
This lot will be auctioned via Iconic Auctioneers, The Iconic Motorcycle Sale at the NEC Classic Motor Show 2025 on Sunday the 9th of November, NEC, Birmingham, B40 1NT. The BSA Golden Flash (or Gold Flash) was an early exponent of the parallel-twin engine layout which was to dominate British design throughout the 1950s and 1960s Powered by the reliable 646cc air-cooled, parallel-twin engine, producing around 35bhp Uses traditional 'pre-unit' construction where the engine and gearbox are separate components bolted to the frame Relies on a classic 6-volt Lucas system using a magneto for ignition and a dynamo for power While also available in black (as here) the signature golden paint scheme is what gave the motorcycle its name and helped it stand out in post-war Britain With our vendor for two years, this 'Flash' has been restored to a good standard and runs very well It's a late example with the 'plunger' rear end prior to the arrival of the swinging-arm
