Background:Launched in 1982, BMW’s second-generation 3 Series – the E30 – brought enhanced refinement, performance and sophistication to the compact executive class. Available with a wide range of engine options and body styles, the E30 quickly became a benchmark for dynamic excellence, with the 320i six-cylinder saloon offering a well-judged balance of power and poise. With rear-wheel drive, near-perfect weight distribution and typically robust German engineering, it remains one of the most desirable classic saloons of its era. The Car:First registered on 1 March 1986, this Diamond Black BMW 320i was supplied new by Barons of Farnborough and has remained with its original owner ever since. A lifelong enthusiast, the seller kept the car garaged from new and never left it outside overnight. Retired from regular use in 1997 following the purchase of a new Land Rover Freelander, the car has covered just 7,150 miles from new, with only limited use in 2006, 2007 and 2008. Specified from new with a rare combination of factory options, this 320i features electric windows on all doors, central locking, power steering, electric sunroof, BBS alloy wheels, alloy spare, rear spoiler and mud flaps.
