Alpina developed the E90 platform into a more focused diesel sports saloon by incorporating both performance and styling enhancements. Visual changes included signature multi-spoke Alpina alloy wheels, a front air dam, rear spoiler, revised cloth seat inserts, Alpina-branded dials, floor mats and a build-number plaque. Mechanical upgrades featured tuned suspension, a re-mapped ECU, a larger turbocharger and intercooler, and improved fuel-injection, resulting in just under 200bhp and over 300lb/ft of torque from the 2-litre engine. Offered here is a 2008 Alpina D3, showing just over 3,500 miles from new with only one previous keeper and presented in exceptional, original condition. Supplied new to the UK and first registered in February 2008, it was specified in Graphite Metallic with the desirable manual transmission. Under close inspection, although this has not been PTG tested, it appears all panels retain their factory paintwork and the interior remains in excellent order with well preserved Alpina trim and original floor mats. Used sparingly in fine weather and always dry stored correctly, this D3 is likely one of the lowest mileage and most original examples available. Although only lightly used, the car is supported by a comprehensive service history, complete with its original book pack and service book, stamped up to date by both BMW main agents and respected independent specialists. A full set of MOT Certificates from every relevant year further supports the mileage from new and the car will be presented for auction freshly serviced and with a new MOT.
