Background:The second-generation 3 Series, internally coded E30, defined BMW’s reputation for sporting compact saloons and coupés through the 1980s and early 1990s. With perfect proportions, rear-wheel drive balance and a broad range of engines, the E30 was as at home in the hands of enthusiasts as it was in everyday use. The 325i, powered by BMW’s 2.5-litre straight-six, was regarded as the connoisseur’s choice in the range, combining smooth power delivery with engaging performance. In convertible form it became one of the most desirable variants, particularly when specified with the M Technic Sport package, which introduced unique body styling, distinctive trim and a more purposeful stance. Today, limited-edition examples such as this remain highly sought after among collectors.
