Chassis No SCBZK26EX3CH01203 was originally completed and registered in May of 2003 and supplied by Broughtons of Birmingham. It was specified in Royal Blue with a dark blue cloth hood and a magnolia leather interior. Being an Azure Mulliner Final Series Performance variant, it came with a number of special features which include but were not limited to diamond quilted seats, dark burr walnut woodwork, Bentley wings inlaid in the woodwork waist rails, a Continental T instrument layout, starter button, turbo boost gauge, five spoke alloy wheels, wing vents, Mulliner badges, chrome instrument bezels and drilled pedals. It was retained by the original owner from 2003 to 2023 and comes with excellent main dealer service history, with eleven stamps in the service book. The car was brought to us in late 2023 by the second and present private owner who instructed us to prepare the car for him, with a new set of tyres, plus a service and check over. We are now delighted to be offering this very rare late production for sale. It is one of just sixty-two examples built to this Final Series Performance specification, of which just fifteen were believed to have been built-in right-hand drive. It has covered just under 10,000 miles from new and is in excellent condition in every respect. A top class, low mileage, highly collectible modern classic in the making. The Bentley Continental R was unveiled in 1991 after six years of development and it became an instant success. Its stylish sports coupe coachwork captured the imagination of Bentley enthusiasts, and the orders flooded in. The success of the Continental R and the slightly sportier Continental T made it inevitable that a convertible variant would be developed and in 1995 Sergio Pininfarina was approached and given the task of styling the Bentley Continental R convertible which became known as the Azure. Between 1995 and 2003 just over 1,300 Azures were built, with improvements and modifications implemented as time went by. Several low production variants were made during this time, from the Jack Barclay Special, to the Mulliner Editions, to the Le Mans variant. The final hurrah for this model came in the form of the Azure Mulliner Final Series Performance in 2003.
