After almost a decade of stewardship it's time to sell my genuine Austin Mini Cooer MK2, lovingly restored in 2016 to include a full body rebuild with new heritage panels plus all mechanicals making this car pristine in every respect. Over £25,000 spent and a history file thicker than a telephone directory, receipts are available covering all aspects of the restoration. There is a fascinating history with the vehicle along with previous ownership log books, heritage certificate is also present. The car has been dry stored since and infrequently driven only on sunny days, 400 miles driven since restoration and is adapted for unleaded petrol. All bodywork was completed by the renowned Retro Refinishers in Cannock which included undersealing and Waxoyl, all panel fit is undoubtedly better than the car was new out of the Austin factory back in 1969. Finished in it's original colour of Island Blue with a Snowberry White roof. Upgrades include dry suspension, 7.5 inch Cooper S disc brakes, electronic ignition, Phos Bronze brake pipes, stainless steel exhaust system. Other than that the car has been sympathetically kept as original as possible retaining all of the charm that this vehicle had when rolling off the line in 1969. The rear seat bulkhead has the period spit hole, speedo has the Cooper Yellow gear change markings. The engine, head, transmission and carburettors are correct and period with no upgrade or tuning. Fuel tank is the original 25 litre capacity. The car presents very well and would make someone a fantastic investment or show car, it can be seen at any reasonable time. This car will be advertised elsewhere so I reserve the right to withdraw it from this listing. With a car of this age one has to assume the mileage may not be correct.
