I am the 4th owner of this beautiful Austin A35. The second owner bought the car in 1969 and owned it for 55 years. During that same it was off the road for a short while. Then subject to a full restoration over several years. The car was fully stripped down and all bodywork issues addressed. The car was fully painted inside and out in its original Spruce Green colour which still looks fantastic. The engine was removed and rebuilt and ticks over sweetly. The interior was then put back all in great condition with new headlining and lovely Green carpets. The chrome work was replaced (the overriders are original I have been told). This little car turns heads wherever it goes. The original number is still with the car, however it is now non transferable. The owner who restored the car had to apply to DVLA for the number back due to the length of time the car was off the road. The MoT on the car expired mid November however even though the car is tax and MoT exempt I am happy to put it through a test. The car is totally solid. It rides on recently new tyres. In my short ownership I have had new sump and oil filter housing gaskets changed. A new old stock dashboard fitted with the odometer showing 8 miles although the mileage is around 40000. A new speedo cable. There was an area of paint on the offside rear wing that was scuffed due to something falling on it. This has now been professionally repainted and looks fantastic.
