Austin 1100 MkII 1968 F Reg. ‘Garage Find’- with 6591 miles from new. An absolutely remarkable and completely unique opportunity to purchase this ‘time warp’ car. I have just taken it out of storage and have decided to offer this for sale before the start of any re-commissioning work taking place and before I get it driving again. The car is in fantastic and original condition though it's a bit dusty and dirty in places with a few scuffs, dings, a small roof and wing dent and a few surface scratches whilst in storage. There is some surface rust in places and the chrome is a bit tarnished, though does clean up well with a quick polish. I have periodically oiled the bores and hand turned the engine over a number of times. After generally checking oil and fluids and draining the fuel tank, I've cranked it on the key half a dozen times to make sure that it would crank on the starter, though the solenoid seems to work intermittently. The brake master cylinder has previously leaked a bit and the clutch cylinder has seized more recently. All the electrics, lights, indicators, wipers, horn and fan etc are all working. Included with the car are a couple of spares including a headlight, side repeaters and some spare hub caps. It also has the tool kit which I believe was originally sold with the car. I have the original instruction manual and envelope with drivers manual and original registration book confirming the original registration date. Also I have a later registration document, some old MoT certificates to verify the mileage and some bill of sale details for the sale to also confirm the mileage. Unfortunately there is no recent V5 in my name, as the paperwork that came with the car was only partially complete. Some time ago I applied for the V5 (twice) with the paperwork which got lost by the DVLA having recently reviewed the paperwork, I had forgotten that I'd not tried again to get a new V5.
