The original 948 cc engine was replaced by a more powerful 1098 cc unit. The engine breathes though two S.U. carburettors, an alternator was fitted, and the electrical system was modified from positive ground to negative ground. Furthermore, the car is fitted with a sports steering wheel with a wood rim, and beautiful 13-inch alloy Minilite style wheels shod with Fulda 155/70 R13 tyres. The boot of the car can be reached from behind the seats, the ‘bug eye’ does not feature a regular boot lid.
