Brute in a suit’ were the words used more than once to described the fastest Aston Martin ever on its introduction in 1993, the Vantage had no less than 550bhp available to propel its mass of two tons, the choice of words can only be judged fair comment. On test with Autocar magazine the Vantage achieved a 0-60mph in 4.6 seconds and managed 100mph in a blistering quick 5.5 seconds, remarkable performance for that era.
