Background: Unveiled to the world in 2001, the Aston Martin Vanquish represented a bold step into the 21st century for the iconic marque. Designed by Ian Callum and built at the legendary Newport Pagnell facility, the Vanquish combined timeless Aston Martin style with cutting-edge technology. It was a true flagship – a modern day GT car powered by a naturally aspirated V12 and clad in aluminium and composite materials. While the press initially focused on the automated manual gearbox, time has proven the Vanquish to be a far more refined and usable grand tourer than first suggested – particularly those converted to (or supplied new with) the later 'S' gearbox. The Car: This stunning Vanquish was registered new on 6th January 2003 and supplied by Aston Martin Knutsford. It is presented in the iconic Tungsten Silver metallic with a Charcoal leather interior. The headlining is finished in Smoke Alcantara, while the carpet is Charcoal.
