Motodrome offer this utterly gorgeous 1969 Alfa Romeo Giulia Super 1.6, finished in Verde Muschio with Wild Boar tex interior. This type 105 is a rare original UK RHD example, built December 1968 and is one of the very first of the updated Giulia Supers. First registered 1st April 1969, and the V5 shows just 5 previous owners, all long-term, including the first owner who had it until 1993. One of the owners, in the early 2000’s, was Doug Blain, the founding editor of CAR magazine. We have a very big file of service history back to the early 1990’s, showing it has been consistently maintained since then by Alfa specialists. We also have a rare UK drivers handbook. Ian Ellis Classic Alfa carried out a full engine rebuild in 2013 at 102809 miles – the odometer reading is now 114000 miles, and it underwent structural restoration in 2015. The interior is largely original and is in superb order. In early 2025 the car was fully assessed by AlfaMan Services, whoo reported: ‘fantastic car, bodyshell and paint get 100%, interior condition 100%, underside of car looks new, wheels and tyres look new, mechanically, needs work’. Hence the last owner commissioned them to sort it out, including, but not limited to the following: New HT leads New radiator Full service New steering box New fuel pump New throttle cable I’ve rarely seen such a well-sorted, beautiful condition 105 Giulia saloon. . Compared to their British contemporaries, these were seriously advanced for their time, with twin cam engines, 5 speed gearboxes, and disc brakes all round. They make fast Fords look positively pedestrian, and this example knocks them into a cocked hat. It’s my current favourite of all our stock, and I think a new owner will be proud to have it in their garage. Needless to say, it drives absolutely superbly, and a new owner will have a lot of fun with it, although said new owner may have to prise the keys from my cold, dead hands first..
