Background: Unveiled at the 1997 Frankfurt Motor Show, the Alfa Romeo 156 marked a bold new chapter for the iconic Italian automaker. Designed as a successor to the Alfa Romeo 155, the sleek compact executive sedan quickly won over critics and enthusiasts alike. Just a year after its debut, the 156 clinched the prestigious 1998 European Car of the Year award, cementing its status as a standout in its class. While production of the saloon model ended in Europe in late 2005, the Q4 Crosswagon variant remained on the market until the end of 2007, extending the model’s legacy for a few more years.   The Car: This example of Alfa Romeo’s 156 is presented in a classic specification, black over that famous cognac interior, all powered by the famous Twin Spark engine. The car does need cosmetic attention on both the exterior and interior. Scratches and faded paint being found around the exterior panels, while the interior has loose trims and missing panels.
