1963 158 PERFORMANCE VENOM VENOM - £13,995

Built 24th January and registered 9th April 1963 this fabulous RGS was comprehensively restored in 2011 having been in a private collection for some time. Sold by us in 2021 it had further work 2022 which included the fitting of new ‘correct’ hi comp pistons. Showing aprox 36,000 miles the bike has been used sparingly and remains in excellent overall condition. A genuine RGS it retains its original registration number and is fitted with a standard (STD) gearbox and the original fitment Dunlop alloy wheels. Supplied with a buff logbook that confirms it has only had 5 owners since 1972 it also has a dating certificate from the Gold Start Owners Club confirming originality and matching numbers. One of just 1,584 bikes built between 1962 and the end of 1963 when production gave way to the new unit construction BSA engine, they are also a sublime classic to ride, the high compression 650cc motor has loads of power, the proven Gold Star frame handles great and the 190mm full width front hub has adequate braking for what is a nice comfortable classic to ride. In recent times values have suffered so now is the time to buy with so few genuine bikes available prices are sure to rise in the future.
