Artcurial certainly pulled in the punters to an almost five hour Paris sale in the Theatre du Rond-Point just off the Champs-Elysees last Monday night, when 81 or 89% of voitures were sold for a more than healthy €8.7m (£7.4m), over €2m above the pre-sale estimate. Most significantly, too, 60% of the 91 cars been consigned at no reserve and 13 of them sold to Eastern Europe, whilst buying bids were received remotely from as far afield as Russia and the US.
