When in 1980 Lancia reintroduced the Montecarlo with what was effectively a second generation, it gained the elegant glazed buttresses but lost some of the 'oh-so-seventies' details in the trim.

Only very few cars at the very end of the first series left Turin with series I details and updated buttresses. When I set off to buy a Beta Montecarlo I knew I had to find one of these very few.
The main details lost in the second series are the beautiful alloys and two spoke steering wheel, but the glass at the back creates a beautiful line that naturally continues the roof profile. My Beta Montecarlo for sale today is one of these cars.

UK delivered, 50.000 miles, large history file, new tires and bushes. Runs and drives well, comes with an MOT until May 2018 and is a very solid but generally untidy car.

Originally white, it had a body off colour change over ten years ago and whomever did it probably ran out of money because the quality of the respray doesn't seem to be professional. Being very dry I thought this was the perfect car for me as I was planning to enjoy it for a couple of years before returning it back to white when the value would have risen.

First model to be completely assembled in Pininfarina's factory, the Beta Montecarlo is possibly the last affordable coachbuilt mid-engined icon from the seventies.
The car just received a tune-up from carburettor specialists Sanspeed and runs like a dream.
