2002 BENELLI TORNADO Tre Limited Edition 898cc - £14,995
The Tornado Tre, designed by Adrian Morton is a model that revived Benelli in the early 2000s. The manufacturer, desperate to differentiate from the Japanese fours and V-twin engines did so by opting for a three cylinder engine. In general, this specific model was perceived to be relatively expensive. At around 22,000 pounds the tornado Tre Limited Edition cost twice as much as a Ducati 999. Under-seat radiators, cooled by fans and adopted to keep the bike's frontal area to a minimum, were one of the unique talking points that exuded hand built craftsmanship. A range of exotica used to make the World Superbike racer competitive included: adjustable headstock angle, adjustable swinging arm pivot, dry clutch, Ohlins suspension at both ends, the ultimate in Brembo braking and forged alloy Marchesini wheels.
This unused and unregistered Tornado Tre is number 20 of the Limited Edition model. The engine has never been started. Presented in 'as new' condition, this machine represents a possibly once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to acquire one of the most exclusive and desirable motorcycles ever made. It comes with the original purchase receipt and associated paperwork, Tornado Tre Limited Edition instruction manual and DVLA Form V55/1 to register it should the fortunate next owner so desire.
