This lot will be auctioned via Classic Car Auctions, The Classic and Performance Car Spectacular Sale 2024 on Saturday the 1st of June, Tatton Park, Knutsford, Cheshire, WA16 6SG. Amalgamated Drawing Office Project 16 was designed by Sir Alec Issigonis  and styled by Pininfarina Introduced in 1967, the Austin 1100 Mk II benefited from a slightly wider front grille and smoother tail light fitting  According to its Heritage Trust Certificate, this example was built at Morris Motors in Cowley and finished in Tartan Red with a black vinyl interior Despatched to F.G Smith Motors of Ilford on 12/01/1968 and first registered on 09/03/1968 The car was retained by its one and only keeper until recently, last being used we believe in 1991/2 then duly dry stored Found as part of a deceased estate so sadly there is no paperwork, however the general condition of the car suggests that the indicated mileage of 18,211 may well be correct Recently treated to new tyres, an oil change and new plugs and will have a fresh MOT for the sale
