motodrome offer for sale this rare and charming 1953 Volvo PV 444E.PV's are often used for historic rallying or as hot rods/custom cars, but this one appears to us to be standard and unmolested, and, we think, is one of the earliest known in the UK -- certainly with it's split rear window and split windscreen you're unlikely to see another one while out for a jaunt, even if you took it back to it's Swedish homeland -- they were never imported to the UK when new. This one was imported into the UK in 2014.Odometer reading 70000kmIt's very useable and glides down the road very well -- the 1410cc engine runs like a sewing machine, and everyone I meet seems to love the styling. NB please note: in my driving video I incorrectly stated it still had it's original 3-speed gearbox. I was wrong - it actually has the 4-speed gearbox from a later PV544.A previous owner also did a fine driving video which can be viewed here https://youtu.be/zxMSmyf6T6cOn our own website, you'll find our usual two videos: a walkaround appraisal, and driving impressions, both of this particular example.
