1978 TRIUMPH SPITFIRE - £4,200
Up for sale is my 1978 Triumph Spitfire. ,,Been in the family for 30 years and has stacks of history. ,,Great little summer toy, in lovely condition.,,The car had a complete professional restoration in 2000, where all rot and rust was removed and replaced with fresh pannels, engine and transmision rebuilt, corosion prevention treatment and a lovely fresh Brooklands Green Paint Job. All this is documented with start to finish photos and paperwork.,,Recent mohair roof, looks great and much better than the original vinyl ones. ,,In the last couple of years its had new brake disks, calipers and shoes, clutch and brake master and slave cylinders, carb jets, shock absorbers and bushes. ,,Currently on MG TF Commet wheels and new Toyo Proxes, but will come with the original steel wheels, good tyres and hubcaps too. ,,Starts easily, great fun to drive and makes a lovely noise. I have videos of how it runs and can send these on along with photos of history etc. ,,The only bad points are there are a few spots of missing paint where some roof pannels unfortunately fell onto the car while in storage some light surface rust.
