In the early 70's British Leyland's offering of the Triumph Dolomite Sprint epitomised luxury and performance within its class. The popularity of the ‘Dolly' etched its way into British motoring history when it won the hearts of many enthusiasts looking for a spacious and capable vehicle. PUS 887M was first registered on the 4th of April 1974, supplied new in Sapphire Blue and the cars early years were spent up in Glasgow. This is a fantastic example of one of the marques most iconic cars and it seems very likely this is a genuine, low mileage car with just 73,000 miles recorded with supporting paperwork. The stunning Sapphire Blue exterior paintwork ensures a stunning sharp appearance and stepping inside, the exceptionally tidy interior takes you gracefully back to the 70s with wonderful Navy upholstery with wooden accents cutting through the black vinyl dashboard. Detailed in the file is a lovely summary of works carried out displaying meticulous maintenance throughout its recent history. In 2016 some bodywork and a partial respray was carried out ensuring the Saphire Blue paintwork presented exceptionally. In 2017, the front shocks and springs were replaced with GAZ adjustable shocks and lowering springs from Rimmer Brothers. Later, in 2017, the front brakes were upgraded with the Trackerjack kit including Golf GTI discs and Ford Sierra calipers and pads providing brilliant stopping power. More remedial works and servicing is detailed throughout the summary with notes of it being garage since 2017 and being on a trickle charger regularly. Most recently, the Triumph has received a rear brake service to include a new wheel cylinder, new brake pipes and a thorough bleed of the braking system and was MOT tested with no advisories in early April 2025. The power unit sat within this wonderfully presented engine bay was very advanced for its time. On the open road, the Triumph flies through the rev range confidently, smoothly switching gears and comfortable cruises along with the overdrive engaged. Having had the Triumph up on the ramp, the underneath is excellent from valance to valance offering peace of mind motoring. For those with an itch to scratch to re-live their previous fond memories of a Triumph Dolomite Sprint, or those with a hankering for a beautiful and spacious classic car with sporting pedigree, look no further.
