The time has come for me to regretfully give up my 928 which has been my daily driver for roughly 5 years. Super rare 5 speed manual transmission, late model Porsche 928 S4. 32 valve, 5 litre fuel injected V8. Fast appreciating classic Great colour combination, metallic grey paintwork and cream / beige leather. The fastest production 4 seater car of its day 171 mph ; The range topping 928 was originally intended to replace the 911 with neutral, predictable handling, 50/50 front/rear weight distribution along with huge power.,Silky smooth power with the amazing sound of a V8. This is the highly sought after S4 model with 4 valves per cylinder and increased power. Mated to the uber rare 5 speed manual dog leg transmission transaxle located at the rear of the car to improve weight distribution. Recent cambelt change along with numerous other parts documents to prove . The car is HPI clear. The car also benefits from having a galvanised monocoque. ,Enormous fun to drive with huge torque and power. It needs to be driven respectfully, especially in the wet. The LSD and ABS help with grip and stopping ability. Very cheap to insure in spite of its impressive power. ,The car has many extras that are now commonplace in a modern car. Featuring AC, cruise, LSD, central locking, electric seats, electric windows, electric sunroof, electric mirrors, climate control etc. The air conditioning works well since it was recommissioned and converted to run on modern gas. It has been adapted so that it can now be recharged at any Kwik fit if it needs re pressurising in a few years time. From what Ive heard, its pretty rare to have working AC on a 928. The late 928s are complex cars and do suffer from electrical faults. Since the car has been my daily driver, I have gradually rectified faults in the car so that now almost everything works as it should. The notable exception is that the heated seats dont yet work. I havent yet tackled this but there are online tutorials available for this. A modern DAB stereo is fitted which has iPhone control and Bluetooth so you can use your phone for music and as a sat nav. Its a 1 key car with one spare included.,The condition of the bodywork is probably best described as shabby. The car is in definite need of a respray. I believe that the bodywork has all of its original paint. I dont think there is any filler on the car all of the imperfections are clearly on show! The interior is in pretty good condition. The car does have a mileage of 191,000 miles. These cars are well known to be able to travel huge distances. On the forums Ive seen 928s with half a million miles on the clock and still going strong. I was told by the previous owner that the first owner used to use the car to regularly travel back and forth to the South of France. ,The originally issued registration number from 1988 is F928 xxx. The personal plate isnt included in the sale and it will revert back to its original plate. ,Ive never been a fan of automatics and the few manual cars will always be significantly more valuable than auto 928s. This is a real drivers car. Ive priced it to be the cheapest manual S4 on the market bearing in mind its condition but it does have the bonus that its MOTd until 30th September so its ready to drive away. ,Theres a partial service history, with a gap in history before my ownership. I know the company who carried out the servicing during the period when the service schedule wasnt filled in. With a bit of detective work theres a chance of finding out the missing details. ,My original plan was to have the car resprayed then to keep it as a weekend car / long term investment. These cars are strongly increasing in value. However, Ive recently acquired an early 911 project so Im having to be realistic about whats possible and Im having to let the 928 go. Also, my workplace has relocated to the city centre where parking is expensive so the Porsche no longer gets used much.,Located in Leeds. Viewing recommended.
