A very well known 'Flat Rad' in Morgan circles, as well as being the subject of many magazine and show articles. Finished in its original colour of Brunswick Green, and still retains its original Birmingham issue registration. A low ownership example, been in the hands of the last MOG club owner for nearly 20 years. A full bare bones nut and bolt restoration was carried out in 2000, and the car appeared on the Morgan stand at the NEC in 2002. Fitted with the Standard Vanguard 2088cc engine, mated to the Moss gearbox, developing 66 BHP with a weight of just 762kg makes this a sprightly machine, even by todays standards. Specification includes period Avon Tourist Cross Ply tyres, Twin spare wheels, Full and Half tonneau, Sidescreens, Trafficators, Smiths Heater, Fuel Gauge and nice to see the original Lucas dynamo and Solex carburettor have been retained. A host of attractive paperwork accompanies, including the original Buff logbook, showing the car being registered in Chesterfield to its first owner on 7th December 1954, and pleasingly still retains its original and catchy registration, POP 162. Subsequent log books follow, right up to the present. Many expired tax discs and MOT,s are present, including an early certificate issued as far back as 1964 ! A photograph album detailing the restoration is also present. Flat Rad Morgans are now a rare and sought after commodity, especially with a history and provenance such as this one. Being registered in late 1954, this car is reputed to be the last one built. Very rare and collectable. Ready for immediate use. May P/X , Brunswick Green, 39,950
