Morgan Aero 8’s always catch our interest; indeed, we owned a series 2 Aero 8, and it was a great owner / driver experience. Ours was the 6-speed manual and it was only the gearbox that we found did not quite gel with the 4.4 Litre BMW V8 engine, in essence, the ratios were too short, rendering 1st gear almost redundant. So, we were eager to try this series 5 with its 6-speed automatic box, which has both sports and manual modes. The gearbox was designed to work with the now 4.8 Litre V8 engine and is a perfect mate, both in terms of its gear ratios, but also its ability to provide fast changes, when sport or manual mode is selected. The engine gives a strong 360 + BHP, but it’s the (490NM) torque that literally throws this Morgan towards the horizon, making sure you catch every sunset! Finished Everest Blue Metallic, with its darker blue Mohair hood and bespoke PPF silver banding on the bonnet, this Aero 8 has a real touch of class, whilst retaining that purposeful, sporting appearance. The 19’ wheels have been powder coated to match the door mirrors and further add to the attention to detail that underlines the passion of the present owner for this Aero 8. The Series 5 with its vertical boomerang light and much better resolved boot, is a well resolved design element. The Yarwood leather with Everest light blue piping, contrasts perfectly with the body colour and once seated, the options of cruise control, air conditioning, heated seats, ensures the car is equipped to take you for a great journey, be that to Scandinavia or down to the South of Italy. The car has had 7 Dealer services, the last one being a 20,000-mile schedule in June 2024. Next service is due in June 2025 and will be only a minor. The car comes with its service book, fully stamped, and supporting invoices. The car had its MOT in June 2024.
