1967 MG MGB ROADSTER 1.8 - £21,995
FOR SALE: A beautiful 1967 MGB Roadster in lovely restored condition, ready to be driven and enjoyed. VIEWINGS WELCOME BY APPOINTMENT ONLY /// ADDITIONAL PHOTOS AVAILABLE UPON REQUEST. EQUIPMENT: British Racing Green paintwork, Piped black leather upholstery, 4-speed manual transmission with overdrive, Folding soft-top in black, Black tonneau cover, Chrome wire wheels, Wood-trimmed steering wheel, Chrome bumpers with overriders. EXTERIOR: This super sharp MGB looks stunning in period British Racing Green with sparkling chrome and contrasting black upholstery. It's an original surviving car that has not required a replacement heritage shell but still presents really well with a lovely glossy finish to the paintwork. It was restored four years ago and the results are simply stunning. Looking carefully around the body there are only some very minor chips and imperfections to the bonnet, on the edge of the driver's door, and with a tiny amount of lacquer peel around the boot lid lock. All of the light lenses are perfect, as is the chrome work including the side trims which have normally picked up a couple of parking dinks. All of the rubber seals fit correctly and are in perfect condition. The folding soft-top works smoothly and is also in first-rate condition along with the tonneau cover. On inspection the car was raised up on a ramp and as with the bodywork, the underside was also found to be in excellent original rust-free condition. INTERIOR: The cabin is in truly beautiful condition with perfectly trimmed leather seats and thick luxury carpets with only a hint of minimal use. The dashboard and all of the switchgear are also immaculate, and everything works as it should. The door cards fit perfectly and are free from any marks or scuffs. The boot compartment is also immaculate and lifting the carpets reveals green paint just as clean as the rest of the body. ENGINE AND TRANSMISSION: The engine roars into life on the first turn of the key and quickly settles to a steady idle. Out on the road it performs extremely well feeling sprightly, sure to put a big smile on the new owner's face. The engine bay itself is extremely clean and tidy and it's clear many man hours and much love has been put into this example. WHEELS, TYRES AND BRAKES: The chrome wire wheels are all in perfect condition without the tiniest hint of corrosion or discolouration on the spokes; they are all shod in a nearly new set of Firestone tyres. The brakes have recently been inspected and are in fine working order with minimal wear to the pads and discs. HISTORY FILE: This beautiful example - in arguably one of the finest colour combinations - was first registered in January 1967. The V5C shows it to have had only 6 registered keepers since then, the current since 2010. In recent years the car has been lovingly restored to a high standard and the result is what you see here. A full mechanical inspection was carried out on arrival with us and the car was found to be in very good original order underneath having never required a replacement heritage shell. A limited amount of paperwork is with the car but the condition really speaks for itself. A truly stunning chrome bumper MGB Roadster, ready to be driven and very much enjoyed.
