1972 MG MGB V8 ROADSTER V8 - £17,500
1972 MGB V8 Roadster
This car was rebuilt around 2000 to a very high standard, using a bare metal bodyshell prepared by Trevor Taylor, and utilising new wings, doors, complete sills etc. (Note the excellent shut lines) The car was waxoiled at build and this has been reapplied at intervals. The engine is a 3528cc unit, sensibly uprated to give exhilarating performance without loss of flexibility. Holley 4 barrel carb, Offenhauser inlet manifold, stage 2 camshafts, full flow stainless exhausts. The Rover 5 speed gearbox drives a 3.07:1 diff. Uprated brakes and telescopic shock absorbers. Facet fuel pump. Yokohama 185/65/HR15 tyres on centre lock Minilite-style alloy wheels. Ditto spare wheel. It has an excellent, and completely watertight Mohair hood. Inertia reel seat belts. Also included are full and half tonneau covers, a spare bootlid with fitted stainless steel luggage rack, and a tailor-made car cover.
The car has done 21,700 miles since the rebuild (all MOTs from 2000 to 2017 available). It handles beautifully and is a real joy to drive. However, I've only been able to drive it 300 miles during the past year for various reasons, and it is now time for someone else to start enjoying it.
