The Mercedes-Benz G-Class, sometimes called G-Wagen, is a four-wheel drive luxury SUV manufactured by Magna Steyr (formerly Steyr-Daimler-Puch) in Austria and sold by Mercedes-Benz. The G-wagen is characterised by its boxy styling and body-on-frame construction. It uses three fully locking differentials, one of the few vehicles to have such a feature. Despite the introduction of an intended replacement, the unibody SUV Mercedes-Benz GL-Class in 2006, the G-Class is still in production and is one of the longest produced Mercedes-Benz in Daimler's history, with a span of 35 years. Only the Unimog surpasses it. The G-class was developed as a military vehicle from a suggestion by the Shah of Iran (at the time a significant Mercedes shareholder) to Mercedes and offered as a civilian version in 1979.This is a 1985 Mercedes 280 GE A4 G-Wagen with a G63 S body kit. The car has had lots of money spent on it at Mecedes, for which there are invoices. 11,000 has been spent recently, which includes a service at 2,000, and a gearbox service for 1,000. From the records available, it seems that over 20,000 has been spent on service costs in the last 3 years. The car benefits from 4 brand new alloy wheels and tyres. The car has fitted Sat Nav, Bluetooth, privicy glass, a touchscreen LCD pad, and reversing camera. The car has the original, though re-trimmed in leather, interior and dash. There are also 2 keys with the car.
