This lot will be auctioned via Iconic Auctioneers, The Iconic Motorcycle Sale at Shuttleworth - Summer 2025 on Sunday the 20th of July, Shuttleworth, Old Warden Park, Beds, SG18 9EP . 500cc single built by AMC between 1946 and 1966 and relatively unchanged throughout its production life The G80 was produced in various different models including the competition version the 'CS' This example was previously owned by Hollywood legend Bud Ekins who was a great friend and stunt double for Steve McQueen, undertaking the famous jump in The Great Escape for Steve. In addition, he was a very well known off-road racer and had a large bike dealership in California Was exported in the 1980s as a bike he used when visiting friends and events in the UK The bike was looked after by Bud's UK friend, Jim Godfrey, and has remained in the same family since Jim passed away Presented in unrestored and original condition and in running order Complete with paperwork showing Bud Ekins as a rider on a few events Various spares included UK-registered on a current V5C
