Ex Portsmouth Civil Defence, completely original other than rear lights. Has matching gearbox and 2 litre petrol engine. Has been in my ownership for the last 18 years, during which time it has been maintained, improved and sympathetically restored. More importantly it has been used and thoroughly enjoyed.It is by no means concourse, nor has it been subject to a nut and bolt restoration. That said it is in a ver6 good condition having had the top rail on the bulkhead completely replaced and an original patch on the rear cross member cut out and replaced.As such it is (in my opinion) a sound basis to be used as is, or for further restoration.It has its original hard top, which has recently had all window seals replaced and the bonus of coming with a full canvas tilt and stick set. All of which is in good condition.Mechanically it has the usual oil leaks, though nothing major, and has been on several long distance trips (London to Plymouth), where it performed without missing a beat and returned a surprisingly good mpg ( circa 24 mpg).All the electrics work and having had its dynamo replaced, has proved to be a reliable and fun vehicle to own.That said, it is over 60 years old, so will require continued maintenance and attention, which is all part of the fun of owning such a classic.
