LAND ROVER DEFEBNDER 90 - £10,000

This lot will be auctioned via Iconic Auctioneers, Online Auction - 16th December on Tuesday the 16th of December. Background:Launched in 1998, the five-cylinder TD5 engine represented a significant evolution for the Land Rover Defender. Offering improved refinement, torque and reliability compared to its predecessors, the TD5 became a popular choice for those wanting a rugged utility vehicle with better drivability and long-distance capability. Retaining the traditional ladder-frame chassis and permanent four-wheel drive, the Defender 90 TD5 combined the marque’s legendary off-road ability with greater usability, particularly in Station Wagon configuration. The Car:First registered in 1999, this Defender 90 TD5 Station Wagon is fitted with the increasingly sought-after factory air conditioning and configured as a seven-seater, complete with original fold-up rear seats. It rides on four matching BF Goodrich All Terrain tyres, with a matching spare wheel also present though not pictured. The chassis is described as being in good order overall with only light surface corrosion, and both the bulkhead and rear cross-member are also reported to be in sound condition. The rear door shows some aluminium corrosion and the bodywork has the odd dent, consistent with its use as a working vehicle. A new clutch and flywheel have been fitted, and the head gasket was replaced in 2023. The Defender also benefits from a long MOT, valid until 8 August 2026, and has had only four previous keepers. Inside, the vehicle retains its original Land Rover front and rear rubber floor mats (front mats not pictured). A car cover is included in the sale, and the Defender is accompanied by a V5C, MOT history and a supporting history file. Location: Gloucestershire Seller: Private
