EXTERIOR: Having resided on Japan's unsalted roads since new, this manual 4-litre Sport remains in excellent rust-free condition throughout, especially the underside. Amazingly original with its factory arches, side steps, and rear mud flaps still fitted, it really looks the part. The vibrant orange paintwork presents to an excellent standard following a machine polish by our in-house detailer, the only real negatives to report being a few minor chips in the paint and some wear to a couple of the plastic arches. INTERIOR: Inside, the upholstery presents well with no significant wear to report, and certainly nothing untoward for the age and mileage. The door cards, centre console and gear knob also look great, with only a small amount marking visible on the glove box lid and around the outer egde of the steering wheel. In the footwells the carpets are free from any stains having always been protected by a set of mats, and in the dash you'll still find the original Jeep CD player. ENGINE AND TRANSMISSION: The Sport's 4-litre straight-six starts up first turn of the key and idles smoothly up to temperature. Lifting the bonnet, the engine bay is extremely clean, remaining in superb original condition with no signs of any rust, damage or previous poor repair. The diff and 4x4 system all work as they should, although given the condition of the vehicle they have probably seen little use. The desirable 6-speed manual 'box is surprisingly smooth and handles the engine's power perfectly through the gears. Since arriving with us the car has been freshly MOT'd for the new keeper's peace of mind. We will also be having a fresh service carried out upon sale. WHEELS, TYRES AND BRAKES: The Wrangler sits on its factory 15-inch steels all in good original condition with only some age-related wear to report; a perfectionist may choose to refurb. They are shod in matching Bridgestone all-terrain tyres with plenty of tread left all round. The brakes have also been checked and remain in fine operational condition, stopping the car quickly and in a straight line. HISTORY FILE: First registered in Japan in December 2006 this 6-speed manual Sport has now driven just 86k fully-documented miles from new.
