1972 FORD CAPRI MK1 WITH FORD 302 V8 - £Auction
A 1972 Ford Capri 3000GT converted in South Africa to look like a Capri Perana with a Ford Small Block 302 V8. As you would expect, the bodywork is excellent, and the "Piri Piri" red paint is very good. The interior, including the headlining, has been recently re-trimmed in vinyl, though not of the original pattern, and the car has had the benefit of new black carpets. Mechanically, the car has recently had a new crate motor supplied from the USA, and the C4 gearbox is said to have been fully re-built. The oil in both the engine and gearbox is like new, which would support these claims. A larger radiator has been fitted, along with an electric fuel pump, which supplies a Holley carburettor which sits on an aluminium Weiand Street Warrior inlet manifold. The car has the Perana style rear window visor, which is not fitted at present. New 15" x 7" Minilite copy wheels fitted with new 195/50 Sumitomo tyres, and new shock absorbers all round. This car will be offered for sale with the U.K registration to follow, which has been applied for by Barons. We guarantee that the car will be successfully U.K registered for the buyer, or a full refund will be provided.
