1977 Chevrolet Blazer (K5 I think) Silverado. 35,000 of modifications by precious owner. Classic car over 40 years old so Tax and MOT exempt. Just make sure it's road worthy and insured and your good to drive on UK roads. This is probably the largest road legal truck about. It has been in a barn since 2016 but was last serviced in 2019. Due to being layed up it needs a bit of a tidy. This involves: Rust on doorframe, door skin and wheel arches . Not too bad but will need attention before it becomes serious. (the rest is very good as it's all so high off the ground and exhaust is stainless steel etc). Window motors/regulator replaced or reconditioned. ( not broken, just stuck) Boot lock replaced as key lost. Ignition barrel temperamental but working.(probably due to old key). Tyre walls are showing signs of age and dry hairline cracks, but if replacement is necessary is a matter of opinion. Inside of lower aftermarket headlights showing signs of mirror corrosion (however these are aftermarket lights placed under the chrome bumper as stock lights are too high to be legal. So easy to replace if required, again a matter of opinion ). Air horn pump replaced. (horns themselves ok). Interior air vents and glove box loose with age. Crack on speaker cover. Interior roof light cover missing. Rest of interior very good origional condition. Due to extreme lift of this truck it's best to leave it in 2wd as 4wd has issues. Driving this is not for the shy or faint hearted. It's an amazing mobile advertising vehicle or hire truck. No time wasters please. Below: Origional owners advert from when I bought it in 2015. Here for sale is my much loved 1977 Chevrolet Silverado . This is perhaps the biggest street legal monster trucks in the United kingdom. It stands more than 9.5 feet tall and some 7.5 feet wide. Sitting on huge 44 Dick Cepek tyres wrapped around original Mickey Thomson billet alloy wheels (worth a small fortune alone). Full custom made ladder bar suspension coupled with hydraulic rock crawler steering system sits underneath 8 shock absorbers. 6 custom made body lift and relocated headlights to underneath the front bumper as the stock headlight are just too high with the bonnet sitting at just over 6 foot in height. All the underside mechanics are detailed painted or stainless braided. Easy to work on as every single part is visible and easy to maintain. It dwarfs everything. Custom made front chrome tube grille along with full custom paintwork in dazzling pearl yellow and blue mica paint along with stars and strips airbrushed details. Due to the age of the Blazer there are a few cracks showing in the paintwork. The whole front end opens up tilting forward on revealing the Monster V8 in all its glory. Very rare 1970s-1980s period KC Daylighter light rack sits on the roof along with five KC Daylighters (collectors item valued at over 700) and a fully lighted Lund sun visor. You cant fail to see this coming when all the lights are on. The engine is a 350 5.7 litre Chevrolet V8 mated to TH350 gearbox the engine was fully dressed with billet alloy valve covers and air filter. Stainless steel custom made exhaust system with solenoid operated blanking plates to run on either normal relatively quite engine note ( quite for a 5.7 V8 engine ) or open headers no silencer and no muffler so extremely loud. Selectable 2 or 4 wheel drive is done on the floor mounted shifter. The inside is in good shape with in factory blue velour and has absolutely tonnes of space with a huge boot enough to swallow up 4 suitcases, that's if you can lift them above the 6 foot tailgate height. Inside seats 5 people in comfort and the 2 front seats are swivel captain chairs with armrests. Full Dakota Digital dashboard provides instrumentation. Alpine iDA 305S ipod head unit provides entertainment coupled with 6 speakers and two subs. Rear view camera is a much needed addition with full colour screen mounted in the dash as reversing a vehicle of this size and height is no easy task. Security is via a Scorpian alarm system. Most of the parts used to build this vehicle were privately imported from the USA at huge costs with a overall build cost of more than 35000. This is a huge and imposing vehicle which doesn't just turn heads it quite literally stops traffic. I've had some wild and exotic vehicles in the past but nothing as attention grabbing as this. If you are the shy and retiring type then stay well clear as this gets photographed everywhere you go. This Chevrolet Blazer has seen use as a prom night / promotional vehicle and always steals the show. Not the smoothest or most comfortable drive but reasonably easy to handle with light power steering. It cruises easily on the motorway at 70mph with ease only pulling 1900rpm. Comes with a set of ladders to aid getting in and out of the truck. Whoever buys this incredible vehicle will be completely blown away by it. Nothing but nothing touches it for on the road presence.
