The 1960 Austin Healey Frogeye Sprite is a charming British sportscar with a distinctive front-end design featuring round, bulging headlights. Produced from 1958 to 1961, it was a lightweight, affordable roadster powered by a 948cc inline-four engine producing around 43bhp. Weighing just over 1,300 pounds, it offered nimble handling and a spirited driving experience. The car's simple design lacked exterior door handles and a trunk lid, emphasising its minimalist, fun nature. Today, the Frogeye Sprite is a beloved classic, cherished for its quirky looks and engaging driving dynamics.

Finished in Giallo Fly with black interior, this ex-California car was supplied by Austin Healey in 1961. A beautiful example that has benefitted from a no expense spared restoration with well regarded restorer, Classic Coachbuilders including a 1100cc lead free rebuilt engine, upgraded Midget 1500 gear box, uprated brakes, electronic ignition, new alternator, high torques starter motor, complete bare metal repaint, retrim in tan leather, new black hood as well as a full rewire with rebuilt gauges but retaining its rare and original steering wheel. Reportedly costing almost £40,000 to complete, the idea was to take the car to Italy to be enjoyed at the vendor's home there, but plans have changed and now the car is available to buy at a fraction of the cost of the restoration. Literally every element of this car has been restored and presents beautifully. Supplied with V5C registration document and a couple of invoices.
