INVITING CONSIGNMENTS THROUGH 13 FEBRUARY
RM Sotheby’s continues its ever-expanding European auction calendar with a return to Germany on 27 March 2020 for its second annual Essen sale. The RM Sotheby’s sale will form part of the 32nd Techno-Classica Essen show in 2020 (25–29 March).
The Essen auction will be held at the Messe Essen, the ninth-largest exhibition center in Germany.
The exhibition grounds comprise 18 halls and 22 conference rooms, as well as a special Galleria section created by artist Jörg Immendorff.
The auction will be held during the Techno-Classica Essen, the world-leading fair of the classic automotive sector. Techno-Classica Essen features more than 1,250 exhibitors from more than 30 nations. The gigantic range of vendors available in the fair halls and outdoor sites include automotive industry leaders, suppliers, restorers, automobile associations, unions, and service providers.
Messe Essen is near the 60-hectare Grugapark—the green heart of Essen that combines flora, fauna, and public art.
Essen offers 210,000 square meters of retail space in the city, 25 weekly markets, and five shopping centers.
Older than Berlin, Dresden, and Munich, Essen Abbey and the city of Essen have enjoyed around 1,160 years of eventful history, all of which can be explored in the numerous museums, art galleries, monuments, and heritage sites.
