This is 1968 DBS with the straight 6 engine. Its in all-round good condition with original Celeste Blue colour and all matching numbers. The autobox has been replaced with a modern 5 speed manual which transforms the driving pleasure in my opinion. Its a matching numbers car with a mileage of 54775 miles. It has power steering (standard) Koni shock absorbers at the rear have replaced the standard selectaride dampers. It has had just 4 previous owners. It was a UK car for 3 years and was then exported to New Zealand where it was owned by an authoress, a property magnate, and a collector. The latter owned the car for 42 years. The car was re-imported to the UK by the current owner in 2018 and its original registration number re-instated. The car is pretty much original (apart from the manual box) and has never been neglected or messed around with. The car has benefitted in the last few years by the replacement of several age related items; radiator, hoses, new ss exhaust, door seals, resprayed, battery, tyres, servos rebuilt, brakes oh, distributor rebuilt, some suspension bushes, steering coupling, boot lining, interior carpets, carbs rebuild. The sills have been replaced (although the rust turned out to be relatively minor ) This is a vulnerable part of these cars but the lack of salt on New Zealand roads for 47 years of the cars life means that the car has never been rusty. The chrome wire wheels are in good condition with no clonks or whip, and the tyres are new Pirelli P1s. I have the Aston Martin build sheets and Heritage certificate. The engine is in good condition as you would expect for the mileage, with good oil pressure. The car starts easily and is a pleasure to drive having been set up on a rolling road by Cotswold Car Restoration. The high 5th gear in the gearbox is like an overdrive. The car is much admired, and you wont be disappointed. It can be seen in South Oxfordshire, near Wallingford (OX10). I am keen to sell so will entertain near offers.
