Subjected to a complete, body-off restoration Finished in a stunning Moonbeam Grey over Dark Grey Metallic Beautiful Red Connolly Hide interior Undoubtedly the finest example anywhere One of just 34 cars with this magnificent Tickford Coachwork The Aston Martin DB2/4, launched in 1953 replaced the Aston Martin DB2 and made for a far more useable car than its predecessor with repositioned headlamps, wraparound windscreens and larger bumpers, as well as a 2+2 seating arrangement. This was only approved with later examples such as ours, featuring the 2.9 Litre WO Bentley in its largest configuration prior to its replacement with the 3.7 Litre Straight Six used in the Aston DB4. Several body styles were offered, the primary 3 being the Saloon, the Drophead Coupé and the Fixed-Head Coupe by Tickford of which only 34 cars, one of which was owned by none other than David Brown himself! They were an elegant, notchback shaped Coupé with subtle lines and all came together for a far lighter looking car than the regular Saloon. With seating for 4 and performance to boot, this made for a serious grand tourer to rival its contemporaries. Finished in a stunning colour combination of Moonbeam Grey over Dark Grey Metallic, having been subject to a complete, body-off, nut and bolt restoration. No detail has been forgotten and the car is arguably better than new. The interior, as with the exterior, has been upholstered to the finest standards in rich, Red Connolly Hide with Wilton Carpets and burr Walnut veneer. The specification of this car alone is hard to beat, only further complemented by the colour coded wire wheels, giving the car a more sporting and menacing stance. All in all, certainly one of the very best DB2 Tickfords in the world, let alone one of the best Aston Martin DB2s you could possibly wish to find. Perfect addition to any prestigious collection or, if you’ve more competitive goals, notably Mille Miglia Age Eligible. Not to be missed.
