FOR SALE A Spectacular popular modern classic, 1985 Porsche 911 Carrera 3.2 Sport Targa for sale. DESCRIPTION Introduced in 1984, the Porsche 911 Carrera 3.2 was the last incarnation of the 'pure' 911 and was a replacement for the SC model, made between 1978 and 1983. The engine capacity was increased to 3.2-litres, Bosch fuel injection was fitted, and power was up to 231bhp. EXTERNAL The Porsche 911 3.2 Carrera was introduced in 1984, replacing the long standing SC model. Engine power was raised to 231 BHP, providing increased performance and economy over the outgoing model. In 1985 the desirable M491 Supersport Equipment (SSE) option became available. A new car could be specified from the factory with full turbo bodywork, brakes, and suspension but without the turbo. This model was known as the Carrera Supersport, and just 226 RHD examples came to the UK, of these only 75 were specified in Targa form, making this a very rare, collectible air cooled 911. Finished in Grand Prix White the paintworks as it left the factory with pin sharp panels as Porsche intended. With aggressive wider wheel arches, rear whale tale spoiler, a black lip spoiler to the front and receiving a complete body restoration some 7 years to the tune of in excess of £60,000 pounds this remains one of the very best out their today. INTERNAL Once inside the Porsche 911 Targa you step back into the eighties of originality, With dark blue smooth leather electric seats with dark blue stitching in spotless condition, Switch gear along with the binnacles all work as intended along with the original Blaupunkt stereo.
