Its styling, overseen by design boss Giovanni Savonuzzi, created the long bonnet, sweeping fastback and pontoon-sided template for every grand tourer that followed. But is that enough to truly define the GT?

John Simister tracked one down in Italy and headed for the hills to find out, and photographer Charlie Magee captured the adventure over a grand seven-page feature in the November issue of Classic Cars magazine.
