Overheating gavels will be wielded again not only in the DVCA tent on the borders of Somerset and Dorset at Yenston just outside Templecombe Thursday 14 June, but simultaneously Saturday 16 June in Oxfordshire and Leicestershire. For auction circuiteers have a choice this weekend of either the Bonhams Oxford saleroom at Shipton-on-Cherwell, just outside Kidlington, or the H&H marquee pitched in the grounds of Rockingham Castle during RREC Rally weekend. At all three gigs, new owners will be sought for 135 cars, more than 70 classic bikes and shed loads of automobilia!
And then, coming up at the end of the month there is what, potentially, could be the mega auction event of the UK season when 5 major and historically significant collections are set to cross the Bonhams block Friday 29 June of the Goodwood Festival of Speed weekend in Sussex. Whilst yet another tent-full of goodies will be up for grabs the next day Saturday 30 June under the Richard Edmonds banner at Castle Combe in Wiltshire.
For an overview of what is selling and for how much, plus a take on the sale stats as the numbers hit the screens, the best advice for all you market watchers is to scan those overflowing in-boxes for the latest auctions intel on CCFS – but then I would say that, wouldn’t I?
