The members-only Hurlingham Club (with an 80-year waiting list) is a firm favourite for locals, celebrities and enthusiasts alike, who come to enjoy the elegant surroundings, fine summer dining and excellent exhibits.

Julius Thurgood, renowned race promoter, race driver and above all enthusiast of everything to do with Historic Motorsport launched his Historic Racing Drivers Club 2012 race programme at Silverstone last Saturday using the Porsche Experience Centre and its Track. This rejuvenation of ‘Old School’ club racing is what appeals to the host of competitors that have signed up for the various race series categories that Julius has brought under the banner of the HRDC. Over the course of 8 race weekends the HRDC series are split into 5 separate races that cater for a wide variety of pre 66 classics under the titles of Touring Greats, Grand Touring Greats, TC63, MGB50 and GTS65.
