I have a1980 Silver Shadow 11 and am thinking of changing it and buying  a Silver Spirit 111. I have test driven one and found the brake pedal had a lot of travel with no apparent effect until all of a sudden it worked rather aggresively.
     Every vehicle I have ever driven, and I have driven many, has never had this feel when braking. Does anyone out there know what the cause is, or is this a normal characteristic with the Spirit 111?  Much obliged for any feedback with this problem.
